"My focus this year is on issues related to traditional art, contemporary art and micro agriculture for our Diné people. The films are intended to humanize the Diné peoples while providing them, with a vehicle to tell their own stories in their own voices. So often in academia the oral tradition is overlooked or discounted as a viable source, these films will serve as a citable reference for future research. Doing them in four is in alignment with the traditional philosophy of the Diné. It is in these ways that the films will serve to elevate Navajo wisdom for audiences inside as well as outside the Navajo nation."
